Creation of a Brass Separation Line at the Company "Metalekspo" (Project No. 2.2.2.1/1/24/A/004) SIA METALEKSPO has launched a project aimed at establishing an efficient and modern waste recycling facility,
which includes the acquisition and installation of a brass separation line. The sorted and shredded waste from
electrical and electronic equipment, as well as metal waste, will be separated by metal type and processed into
secondary raw materials (metal granules).
The implementation of this project will promote the production of high-quality secondary raw materials, which can be further
used for manufacturing new products in various industries, including electronics, construction, and transportation.
This initiative will encourage sustainable resource use and reduce the amount of waste ending up in landfills, thereby
significantly decreasing environmental pollution.
The project also includes organizing public education and environmental awareness activities to enhance public
understanding of waste sorting and encourage people to recycle discarded electrical and electronic equipment.
It is expected that with the processing capacity of the new brass separation line, the amount of processed waste
will reach 11,660 tons per year.
The total eligible costs of the project amount to €1,754,300, of which €1,190,275 will be co-financed
by the Cohesion Fund. The project is planned for implementation in 2025.
